The idea is simple: a small restaurant in the countryside where you can eat simple, seasonal, and delicious food. A few dishes, based on the bounty of our vegetable garden, spelt or ancient grain pasta, eggs from our hens, top-quality certified organic meat, and cheeses from the nearby dairy. That’s it. A terrace to sit on, facing the hills of the Val d'Orcia now in full color. A garden where you can eat or have an aperitif with good wine and a sky full of stars to count above. This is Il Pelo nell'Uovo for me, a moment to feel nature, in its flavors, with the simple spirit of our grandparents. Enjoy your meal.

    An agriristorante is a different way to experience a farm ... through its flavors, under a sky full of stars to count.
    An agriristorante is an activity linked to an agritourism business introduced in Tuscany in 2014, which allows the serving of meals, food, and drinks to non-staying guests as well, always respecting the farm's agricultural activity and health and hygiene regulations.

  • What differentiates an Agriristorante from a Restaurant?

    The main difference lies in the supply chain of raw materials, which partly come from the bounty of our vegetable garden and partly from nearby farms.
    An agriristorante is required to use farm products supplemented by certified Tuscan products and, in any case, by products originating in Tuscany, in line with the principle of the short supply chain and the practice of small-scale farming and livestock rearing aimed at meal preparation.
